I am making the decision to change...

How to Overcome Fear *Click*

Everyone has an imagined Vent List and Change ListVent list has things that individuals joke about, poke fun at, and even beat themselves up on in their lives. Those reasons can be very constructive in motivating them to make a change in there lives, but problem is, they don't apply them to their Change List, (items in which they are working on)
 
People are always getting things half right! Problem is the half wrong side.
 
On the other Side...
 
People love to make decisions to change their life, but don't have a powerful enough WHY (Reasons) to keep going through the hard parts. They make simple reasons that are good for the short term, but rule out the power of their emotions that keep them strong for the long term.
 
THE SAME EMOTIONS THAT KEEP THEM VENTING
 
First, Give yourself a pat on the back for any changes that you HAVE made in the past year, and even write them down in your Victory Log.
 
Next, write down those things that are on your vent list without feeling sorry for anything on it.
 
Now, you have it, Draw a STAR next to an item that you will ad to the CHANGE LIST.
 
SO, on your change list item that you chose, can be any number of items, write the opposite of what it said on Vent list, to balance the negative with positive.
 
Example- Vent: I am tired of cluttered space!
 
Example- Change: I have open area with plenty of room to breath!
 
Get as drastic as possible... and then some!
 
 
NOW, make a Decision to change items on Vent List, and write the Reasons that will drive you past the obstacles to the final destination. Reasons can include Items on Vent list as negative reinforcement (Pain) and items on Change List for positive reinforcement (Pleasure).
 
 
REAL IMPORTANT
As weird as it may seem, people get comfortable with mediocraty. People get comfortable with Pain, and even find pleasure in short term fixes for them. Such as people with addictions to block out pain. Even by punishing themselves, and directing abuse towards themselves, and even to others. Even more sad, people get addicted to pain itself. Such as No pain, No Gain... which can be taken the very wrong way.
 
Switch the bad habits that give pleasure into Good Habits, that give you as much pleasure as the bad habit.
 
If you procrastinate for free time, replace that with Action to get things done and have more free time. AND take as much, if not more, pleasure in the new activity.
